Here at Wieck we are proud to offer services that are valuable and pertinent across many different industries. The versatility of our clients keeps us on our toes, and we’re always eager to explore new grounds we haven’t tapped into yet.
However, there is no denying the fact that we’ve found a special niche in the automotive industry. On a day-to-day basis we work to support manufacturers and journalists in this sector. Whether its developing an online newsroom, producing an SMT, re-launching a corporate website or just deploying a Tritium, we are providing digital content platforms to professionalize the delivery of our clients’ messages.
In April 2016 we became the official technology and communications partner of The Texas Auto Writers Association, Inc. (TAWA). TAWA aims to promote accuracy and quality in the automotive journalism field, which we understand and appreciate first-hand at Wieck.
Every year TAWA hosts the Texas Truck Rodeo, an opportunity for more than 60 journalists and 100-plus manufacturer representatives to meet and decide which trucks, SUVs and CUVs are the best on the market. The 2016 gathering was held at Longhorn River Ranch near Dripping Springs, Texas, just west of Austin. More than 70 vehicles were evaluated in 16 categories on the ultimate test-drive across the Texas terrain. Wieck helped move the news of this anticipated event through our multimedia Tritium platform.
Ford took home the trophy as the 2017 Ford Super Duty was named Truck of Texas. Head over to this New York Times article to read more about the Texas Truck Rodeo. (And by the way, The New York Times News Service has been a client since Wieck launched operations in 1991.)
