LUV and Trust

Southwest Airlines has been flying with Wieck since the early 1990’s when we began archiving photos to accompany news releases. In 2005, we built the company newsroom, swamedia.com. We've become a trusted partner for them in many ways.

When the most LUV'd airline was preparing to launch its new brand identity, we worked with them to create a media micro-site.   The details of the project were 'top secret' and limited to just a few people inside Southwest, their branding agency, and our staff.  We worked quietly and confidently behind the scenes to help them build a powerful first impression for their new brand rollout.

Working under a tight deadline, our awesome multimedia team set out to create an experience that Southwest Airlines would never forget. We utilized our services of event production and live streaming to make all those in attendance at the fall Los Angeles employee rally feel as if they were standing on the shores of Waikiki beach, where Southwest president Tom Nealon and the governor of Hawaii, David Ige were ready to deliver the news. 10,000 Southwest employees and their families rallied in the heart of Universal Studios to watch presenters CEO Gary Kelly, COO Mike Van de Ven and Managing Director of Culture, Cheryl Hughey. Before the event started, the team at Southwest sent out the live stream link to all Southwest employees letting them know that the special event was about to begin.
